She's still waiting...we're still rolling

Ahhh...Rockport days were wonderful ones, but the first of April found us rolling on to the town of Boerne (Ber-nee) in the Hill Country of Texas.

However, there were many re-visits to our Heron friends and sure enough, the lady was still waiting patiently....sitting on those eggs.....

...and Mr. Heron was still carefully attending her......

......sure wish we could be here to see those babies hatch!!!

To see what's been happening in Rockport, please visit Lynette and Gregg's blog.

Several of us left Rockport in a convoy heading North up I 37 towards San Antonio and on to Boerne....to say it was a beautiful drive would be an understatement, and the photos sure don't begin to show the beauty. Mother Nature's paintbrush was working overtime! The Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush, Poppies and many more wildflowers carpeted the roadsides and fields for as far as you could see!!

It was truly a viewing thru the eyes of Texas....

.....those Bluebonnets and poppies in all their glory!!
What treat it was to travel the roads carpeted like a rainbow, all the way up to Boerne!
